Sprinkles are typically sprinkled on the cake by holding a small handful of sprinkles over the cake and then using the fingers to gently release the sprinkles onto the surface of the cake. Some people may also use a spoon to sprinkle the sprinkles evenly over the cake. It's important to sprinkle the sprinkles evenly and gently to ensure that they are distributed evenly and don't clump together in one area. **

To make Funfetti cake sprinkles, you will need to mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and rainbow nonpareil sprinkles. Once the dry ingredients are combined, you can add in wet ingredients such as eggs, vanilla extract, and oil. Mix everything together until well combined, and then pour the batter into a baking pan. Bake the cake according to the recipe instructions, and once it's cooled, you can cut it into small pieces to create your own homemade Funfetti cake sprinkles. **

The sprinkles stay on the cookies by adhering to the surface of the cookie dough. When the cookie dough is rolled in the sprinkles, the dough's stickiness helps the sprinkles to adhere to it. As the cookies bake in the oven, the dough sets and the sprinkles become embedded in the surface, ensuring that they stay in place once the cookies have cooled. **

I'm sorry, but I cannot determine if the sprinkles have expired without more specific information. Expiration dates can vary depending on the type of sprinkles and how they have been stored. It's best to check the packaging for an expiration date or look for any signs of spoilage such as a change in color, texture, or smell. If in doubt, it's safest to discard the sprinkles and purchase a new container. **

Expired sprinkles refer to sprinkles that have passed their recommended use-by date and are no longer safe to consume. Consuming expired sprinkles can lead to potential foodborne illness or spoilage due to the degradation of the ingredients over time. It is important to check the expiration date on sprinkles and other food products to ensure they are safe to use in baking and cooking. **

Chocolate sprinkles are made by mixing cocoa powder, sugar, and a small amount of vegetable oil to form a thick paste. This paste is then pushed through a machine with small holes, creating long, thin strands of chocolate. These strands are then cut into small pieces and allowed to dry, resulting in the familiar sprinkle shape. Finally, the chocolate sprinkles are packaged and ready to be used as a topping for various desserts and treats. **
